Model Heresy

Most coaches only do half the work of the Model. This is the other half.

Inside the class.

Ever wondered how a cognitive approach to coaching… a.k.a. thought work… could be reconciled with trauma responses, spirituality, and magic?

As a coach certified by the Life Coach School, I do some very strange things with the self-coaching Model. And my strange ways get me incredible results in my life and business, so I want to share them with you.

I don't try to "break" the Model, or add to it, or subtract from it, or turn it into something different. I deeply respect the Model as it is taught by its creator, Brooke Castillo.

However, I have some really funky ways of playing with it, which I have found to:

  • take me beyond my cognitive brain and into my unconscious programming,
  • feel super liberating and playful, and;
  • most importantly for me, create space for magic and spirituality to enter in.

It's good stuff. Then why call it a "heresy"? It's not because I'm challenging the Model. It's because I'm challenging the way we look at it and use it habitually.

Also, I'm being cheeky. And I think being cheeky is a great way to approach thought work, because the more we can lighten up about it, the more flexibility we have to change and evolve.

You understand how the Model works.

So: why is creating the results you want still so gnarly?

And why do those shitty thoughts feel so damn sticky?

Well, it's NOT because the Model is broken. And it's most definitely NOT because you are broken.

It could be that you're being too serious and rigid about it.

So, let's play.

Inside the class, I walk you through five numbered Heresies — funky moves with the Model I've never put in writing before. Each one is its own permission slip: to drop the seriousness, to invite the body and the unconscious in, to let the Model become a toy instead of a test.

  1. Heresy #1.

Reveals the invisible relationship that decides whether your models work.

  2. Heresy #2.

Explains why doing all the "right things" still doesn't get you the result.

  3. Heresy #3.

Guess what? The thought that feels most like "you" — probably isn't.

  4. Heresy #4.

For when thought work alone can't crack the most stubborn loops. (And what to do about it.)

  5. Heresy #5.

A magical T-line generator that your therapist will never recommend.

I have used these "weird approaches to the Model" to create some seriously good shit in my business — like:

  • Consistent access to the highest edge of my creativity.
  • A thriving business that supports my family and team beautifully.
  • A magic community of world-changing kindred spirits.

What about you? What do YOU want to create?

"Model Heresy launched my ass into a new stratosphere in my business the next day! Helped me get unstuck after several months."

— Machele G.

"This heresy has helped me open up to 'flexibility' by experiencing my current existing feelings. And I love that you are able to combine the spiritual part — which, in my opinion, we cannot ignore."

Yasmin R.

"Thank you thank you for the class, amazeballs. I understand now why the Model wasn't working well for me!"

Who am I?

Hi, I'm Simone.

I'm a coach certified by the Life Coach School. And I come to thought work from a slightly unconventional background: carrying a Korean shamanic lineage, with training in hypnosis and magic.

Maybe that's why when I learned the Model from Brooke, I fell in love with it — but found myself using it in a slightly quirky way. When I shared it with my clients, they found fascinating — and more importantly, profoundly useful.

And that gave me the idea to teach the class!

Over 3,600 students have taken this class so far, and found that it revolutionized the way they approach thought work for themselves and their clients. And I know it will for you, too.

If you've been stuck in a thought work loop in any way, this is where you want to be.
